After the world premiere in Erbil, Iraqi
Kurdistan in November 2005, a special
screening in Amman, Jordan, participating in
the Emirates Film Competition 2006 in the
UAE, a premiere in Mexico in September,
Bekhal's Tears is ending the year 2006 with
2 more film festivals.
The European premiere of the Kurdish Drama
dealing with women's rights in the changing
society of Iraqi Kurdistan will be at the
4th London Kurdish Film Festival (www.lkff.co.uk)
on December 9th, 6pm at the Rio Cinema,
followed by a screening in Berlin, Germany
on Tuesday Dec.12th at 10pm at the 4th
Berlin Kurdish Film Festival (www.kurd-filmfestival.com).
Writer, Director and Producer Lauand Omar
and his main actress Ozzie Aziz will be
attending the London screening before they
fly back to Dubai where they currently are
in the casting process for their second
feature film collaboration "Mistress of
Mesopotamia", to be shot in Iraqi Kurdistan
in 2007.
Ozzie Aziz will be at the Kurdish London
Film Festival with 2 movies! See a different
side of her in the world premiere of Mahdee
Omed's Movie "A Night of Many Years", in
which she plays a British reporter who
becomes the victim of terror.
